چکیده
This study investigates the potential of Pythium oligandrum (strains M1 and 00X48) as a biocontrol agent in suppressing growth Fusarium culmorum production mycotoxins during malting naturally contaminated barley (Hordeum vulgare). The effects on F. culmorum-infected malt (BM) were evaluated through real-time PCR its impact mycotoxin was determined by quantitative analysis deoxynivalenol (DON) deoxynivalenol-3-glucoside (D3G). effect treatment BM beer quality also European Brewery Convention (EBC) standard methods. Optimal with P. strains 00X48 yielded 59% 48% reduction contamination, 37% 17% lower DON, 27% 32% D3G, respectively. treated both exhibited enhancement; produced from strain resulted no deterioration 26% 18% less DON respectively, transferred to final product.

Influence of Pythium oligandrum biocontrol on fungal and oomycete population dynamics in the rhizosphere.
Fungal and oomycete populations and their dynamics were investigated following the introduction of the biocontrol agent Pythium oligandrum into the rhizosphere of tomato plants grown in soilless culture. Three strains of P. oligandrum were selected on the basis of their ability to form oospores (resting structures) and to produce tryptamine (an auxin-like compound) and oligandrin (a glycoprotei...

The oomycotaPythium oligandrumPo37 is used as a biocontrol agent of plant diseases. Here, we present the first draft of theP. oligandrumPo37 genome sequence, which comprises 725 scaffolds with a total length of 35.9 Mb and 11,695 predicted protein-coding genes.
متن کاملCharacterisation of the early events in atypical tomato root colonisation by a biocontrol agent, Pythium oligandrum.
The specific oomycete-plant relationship established between a biological agent, Pythium oligandrum, and tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) plants was examined over the first 48 h after inoculation of tomato roots with the antagonist. One of the most significant effects was the quick colonisation of cortical and vascular root areas by P. oligandrum (until 9 h post-inoculation); it was simil...

متن کاملNatural Contamination with Mycotoxins Produced by Fusarium graminearum and Fusarium poae in Malting Barley in Argentina
Two of the most common species of toxin-producing Fusarium contaminating small cereal grains are Fusarium graminearum and F. poae; with both elaborating diverse toxins, especially deoxynivalenol (DON) and nivalenol (NIV), respectively. The objective of our work during the 2012-2014 growing seasons was to screen crops for the most commonly isolated Fusarium species and to quantify DON and NIV to...
